Cross-cultural Communication and Trade Unions

A set of 9 transparencies. In an oral communication situation the messages conveyed between the speakers are not limited to the actual words used. During a conversation or speech we produce other signals such as silence, eye contact, gestures or gesticulations. Even the distance at which we place ourselves from the people we are speaking to can be interpreted as a sign of interest or indifference. Cross-cultural communication in transnational trade union context can be problematic where one or more of these signals leads to misunderstandings.

Available in English, French and German (trilingual document)

Price: EUR 35
