The MIER project, promoted by the CC.OO., MIER - Innovative preventive measures in the face of possible restructuring operations - brings together the CGT and CFDT of Rhône-Alpes, the CGIL and CISL of Lombardy and the Info-Institut of Saarbrücken.

Participants come from multinationals and trade unions from different regions, with experience of information and consultation, company performance before restructuring decisions, and the strategies of EWCs and trade unions in the regions.

The training seminar in the project focuses on the need for a proactive focus, a new concept of transnationality, influencing and regulating the social consequences of a corporate decision, getting to know the different development patterns of multinationals, creating multidisciplinary, theoretical and technical teams, and anticipating and defining various possible implementation scenarios.
In short, the project sets out to capitalise on the synergies offered by European trade union plurality, noting that the impact of restructuring operations in regions and territories is obliging trade unions to define new methods of action.
